This Turmeric Spiced Granola is made with perfectly chewy, slightly spiced oats and is sure to brighten your morning! It’s not only full of fantastic ingredients that will nourish your body and give you a glow, but it tastes awesome too! I used the Golden Grind spice powder, which includes Turmeric, Cinnamon, Ginger and Black Pepper. I am obsessed with the combination of these spices, it’s so good! I’ve used Golden Grind in lots of other recipes including turmeric lattes and my Golden Turmeric Smoothie! Turmeric has been used in Asia for it’s health benefits for thousands of years, and it seems the health industry has now cottoned on too and it’s featured in many popular recipes! It’s not surprising why – this super spice is both an anti-inflammatory and an antioxidant. It is proven to increase energy, boost immunity and improve memory and the addition of black pepper ensures maximum absorption of the turmeric!
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp of Golden Grind Turmeric Powder
- OR 1 tsp Turmeric Powder , 1/2 tsp Cinnamon, 1/2 tsp ginger and a pinch of black pepper
- 1 banana
- 2 tbsp raisins
- 1 cup of Gluten Free Oats
- 2 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1 tbsp rice malt syrup
- 2 tbsp Desiccated Coconut
Method
1. Mash the (very ripe) banana with a fork
2. Stir in the oats
3. Melt the Coconut Oil and then add this to the oats mixture – mix it really well!
4. Add all of the other ingredients
5. With your hands crumble onto a baking tray – make sure its spread out evenly (I spread mine over two trays)
6. Bake for around 15 minutes, or until it has started to turn golden!
